What is the Microsoft Office Worldwide Competition? To find these two students there will be regional events held at the following locations on the following dates: At these events entrants will sit a short Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exam in either Word 2003 or Excel 2003. On April 5th 2008 the top ten scores in the country will be listed on this website. The top student in Word and the top student in Excel will be crowned the Irish Champions and win the trip to Hawaii. There are also Runner Prizes and Spot Prizes at each regional final. Every year a global search begins to find the students with the best Microsoft Word and Excel skills. As we speak, countries from all over the world are running competitions to find representatives who will compete for the title of "World Champion" at Word and Excel at the World Championships held in Hawaii from July 31st - August 2nd this Summer.
From Ireland two students will go on to represent the country. One student will compete in the Word Competition and one Student will compete in the Excel Competition.
